This is a renaissance that I have hoped for. It is thrilling to see wonderfully restored buildings being turned residential and all the new faces these apartments bring to the neighborhood. Lack of parking has been a problem for all businesses, residents, church attendees and visitors, and the proposed center would make the situation intolerable. As owner of the Armadillo restaurant, who has operated on Abeel Street for 30 years, I am extremely worried about the Irish Cultural Center project and problems it will cause with parking on Abeel Street and the surrounding area.
